Meet our Team

Rebecca Stevenson – Conductor of our Youngest Singers (Prep – Year 2) and Co-Conductor of the Middle Group (Year 3 - 7)

Rebecca graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education in 2008. She has been lucky enough to teach in both the private and public education sectors and has been teaching classroom music, and conducted choirs and string ensembles in Townsville since 2011. Rebecca teaches “do-re-mi Music for Children” to children up to 6 years old and their parents.

Rebecca holds three Australian Kodaly Certificates (Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary) and completed her Masters of Education in June 2016.

Rebecca is looking forward to working to with the students in 2018 and making beautiful music with them.

Anne Milanovic - Conductor of the Middle Group (Year 3 - 7) and the Youth Choir

Anne holds a Bachelor of Music with Majors in Choir Conducting and Pipe Organ (2000 Univerity of Arts, Berlin; 2005 College of Church Music, Halle/Saale, Germany) and a Bachelor of Education with Majors in Music and Religious Studies (2010 Martin Luther University, Halle/Saale, Germany). She migrated to Australia in 2010.

In 2013, she was fortunate to be invited to prepare the choir and lead singers for the Families’ Concert of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music for the production of Benjamin Britten’s “Noye’s Fludde”, and she has led the choir for the Families’ Concert ever since. In 2014, she founded the Amadeus Singers.

Anne also teaches piano at Townsville Grammar School, and organizes monthly concerts for the public at St. James’ Anglican Cathedral, Townsville.

Pompeyo Robert Caluya - Co-Conductor of the Youth Choir

Pompeyo Robert graduated with Bachelor of Secondary Education and Master in Education Degrees from the Mariano Marcos State University (Philippines). He is a recipient of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and Philippine Society for Music Education (Music Scholarship Program) at Philippine Normal University. He is former conductor of the Ilocos Norte National High School Youth Choir and founder of  the Laoag City Children's Choir and the Samiweng Singers. He is a two time national champion in the youth choir category of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists (Philippines. He led the Samiweng Singers in winning major prizes in 2011 in Vietnam and in 2012 at the 7th World Choir Games in the USA. Pompeyo Robert migrated to Australia in 2013 and has worked with the Amadeus Singers since 2016.


Sophie Ricca - Vocal Coach

Recently graduating with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Voice from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Sophie studied under the esteemed tutelage of Professor Lisa Gasteen AO. Recently making her professional debut with the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, Sophie is passionate about bringing her music to regional North Queensland. Having worked on stage with Academy Award director Bruce Beresford as well as Australian Music Theatre and Operatic director Stephen Barlow, Sophie is passionate about sharing her knowledge and performing experiences with her students. Some of her musical theatre pursuits include performing the role Christine in NQOMT's Phantom of the Opera, and Johanna in Sweeney Todd. 


Amber Jones - Children's Choir Accompanist



Amber has been teaching private piano lessons for the last 20 years and has had the opportunity to accompany students of various instruments for their exams. Other musical experiences include playing violin in the Darwin Symphony Orchestra and singing in various choirs in Darwin. Amber is trained as a childcare worker and has a love for working with children.
